New layout

New layout, my old layout was beginning to bore me so I decided to change my theme. This layout image was actually for my other domain sap-a-licious.net but since I went with another layout on that domain, I thought this image was too pretty not to use and I like how I blended the two images together. Anyway, I hope you like and it should be viewable on all browsers (even IE 6 and earlier) but any problems let me know. And yea, I hope it’s not too bright.

So I really shouldn’t be blogging as I have a job test on Thursday. It will hopefully be easy (it’s Microsoft Office for heaven’s sake) but that makes it even more embarrassing if I end up doing something stupid and fail. :owie: Oh well, it’s in Bedfordshire and since there is no direct train, my lovely parents have offered to drive me there. Truth be told, I could have gone down one night earlier and stayed in a hotel but since it’s only a 20 minutes test, I didn’t want to waste all that money, it would have been different if it was a job interview and besides, the hotel plus the train would have actually cost quite a bit. So anyway, dad said he would drive me down, it’s quite funny as we are all going down, to Bedford, 3-4 hours away, for a 20 minutes test.

I have a Mehndi to go to Wednesday. This is sort of pre-marriage ceremony, where all the married women put a Paan leaf (Betel leaf) on the girl or boys, hand, then put a drop of mehndi (henna) onto the leaf, and then feed the girl/boy some Indian sweets. I am just going because there will be really nice food as it’s in a nice hotel. What? :tonguer: There is nothing for me to actually do there as I am not married (something which no doubt will come up endless amount of times :lazy: ). They have decided to do both boy and girls Mehndi at the same time. It’s their wedding on Saturday and I am looking forward to it. I’ve been picking out my clothes and I’ve decided to wear a sari to the wedding. I will try to remember to take some pictures.

I’ve decided that I need to get some more examples for my portfolio, I think one of the best ways is to make some websites for friends, etc. I think I will place a message on my facebook asking if anyone wants me to design a website for them. I am also thinking of doing some volunteer work, my CV isn’t the best and I think that will look really good, plus it will be quite interesting to do as well. It’s at times like this, where I wish I was involved in some community things, or I had more hobbies. Though, I am determined to start teaching myself more JavaScript and PHP. I hope to move onto Ruby on Rails and teach myself more PERL as well.

I’ve added a plugboard to the site, I will also be adding some more visitor content once I am done with this test on Thursday. I will probably add some layouts and icons etc.

Thanks for all the birthday messages

Sometimes life really sucks

You know I love meeting up with old friends. It’s cool to see how they are and what they all doing and stuff, especially as I hardly see or talk to them at all. Of course, it also sucks when they are all happily married, nearly married or comfortably in a relationship and you are the only one who is still single, unemployed and basically, doing crap all. Yep, that’s me all right. :depressed:

So anyway, putting my jealously aside, I met up with my old college friends last week and it was good fun. We went to Nando’s and then went off to have some ice cream.

Of course, since the fact that my life basically resolves around the internet nowadays and I hardly have any human contact, I can really, really tell how antisocial I have become. Usually that’s not a problem, but when you do venture out the house to meet up with people it can be quite obvious that I have no life at all. :lazy:

Oh well, at least meeting up with my friends did pinpoint some bad habits I noticed about myself when I talking to them and in general.
